Frequently Asked Questions

general public Perspective…

Kifer mo pas kpav passe commande direk are zot?

We do not take walk-in orders as our queue is online. All the orders we have online are on a queue, accepting walk-in orders means disrespecting someone else’s time. We have always been extremely serious about queueing up and we have not changed. We have made the queue virtual, where you don’t have to waste your time standing and waiting. Long time TSS customers know how the queue used to be, and appreciate the new changes.

zamais mo pou passe commande online moi!

We appreciate your honesty and we respect your choice. We only ask the same respect.

Mone fini vini mem la, ou pas pou donne moi manzer?

Dealing with customers is an art in itself. We are a food service business, we would go out of business if we did not serve customers. If you follow the process to order, you will get your food. One thing that you will not get to do is gas light/guilt trip us into disrespecting our customers by serving you. We will not entertain these types of customers.

We hear this kind of comments far too often, we would rather use our resources on customers who respect and understand our ways.

Zot pas gagne droit faire sa!

We live in a democracy, everyone has the right to think and act upon their belief. We appreciate your feedback but do not like the prospect of others choosing what we are allowed and not allowed to do.

Zot pas perdi clients avec sa online la?

We have lost customers, ofcourse. But we believe in our mission and this is a sacrifice we believe is necessary to bring the desired change. Taking 2 minutes to order your food before leaving your office for lunch will always be better than queueing up for 15 minutes.

We Mauritians are hell-bent on maintaining our traditions, even if there is something better out there. Though we will continue to pave the way and hope for the best.

Ban vié dimoune couma pou faire?

We serve the elderly and youngling when our queue permits.

As Thomas Reid rightly said “we are only as strong as our weakest link”. We have witnessed the heartwarming act of customers helping the elderly and younglings by sending in orders for them. The Sandwich Society at its finest! We are truly grateful to have such gems as customers.

TSS Perspective…

Kifer nou nepli servi walk-ins.

Having to make orders of customers who are already here has alot of downsides.

  1. The pressure to prepare the food and deliver asap as customer already queued up for a long time.

  2. The rush at peak time.

  3. Undecided customers that take a long time to order, wasting time.

  4. Keeping track of which customer matches with what food.

  5. Too many variables that can make the experience go wrong.

We have done it for many years but we will not subject any employee to this type of situation and stress anymore.

ki raison online la plus bon?

As the benefits for the customer is obvious, for the staff of TSS, it’s a tad bit different.

  1. We have time to prepare your order in a stress-free environment.

  2. We organise each orders and keep it ready.

  3. We have time to process your data and award the necessary reward points to your account.

  4. We get to know our customers.

  5. More time means more services such as a rewards program and in-house delivery service.

  6. We add more and more ingredients, partners and services for our customers.

We prefer to work in a stress-free environment, we can ensure higher quality food and service delivered to our customers.

Mo pena letemp…

Many customers tell us they do not have time to order online, and we understand that perfectly. But what we do not understand is… they queue up and wait 15 minutes for food even though they do not have time.

Oh well, we do appreciate a good paradox :)
